We help leaders and managers to build resilient and engaged teams.

We offer three effective, evidence-based workshops, each focused on building different aspects of resilience within teams:

Leading for Resilience Workshop

This course identifies the core skills leaders need to demonstrate in order to build resilience in their teams. Based on research conducted by the CIPD, HSE and the University of London, this workshop helps leaders develop a plan of action for developing resilience skills in others and putting them into action.

Conflict Management Workshop

Conflict and difficult working relationships are a common source of stress. This course helps participants to improve their handling of difficult or tense situations in the workplace by understanding the psychology behind conflict, conflict avoidance and resolution.

Time Management Workshop

This groundbreaking course represents the next generation of time management. Participants learn how to increase their focus and get more done, even when everyone seems to be multitasking, juggling priorities and cutting corners.

Workshops are available in full, half day and 90 minute sessions and can cover up to 20 participants.

Leading For Resilience Workshop

Close

We help leaders undestand how they can lead in a way which builds resilience in their teams.

Background

Research, practice and policy have highlighted the vital role leaders play in the effective management of stress at work. Effective leadership builds engagement and helps prevent stress and burnout, whilst ineffective leadership produces the opposite effect.

Recent research by the CIPD, HSE and University of London now shows there are specific management competencies for preventing and reducing stress at work. This workshop will equip line managers with the skills required to prevent and reduce stress in their staff.

Session Outline

At the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Describe the current research linking manager behaviour to employee stress
  • Identify the behaviours required to prevent and reduce stress in their staff
  • Identify their own areas for improvement in a personal development plan in order to deliver effective interventions in their teams
  • This is a half or full day training course which helps managers to identify, understand, develop and implement the behaviours identified as important for the prevention and reduction of stress in their staff.

All participants leave with a tailored plan of action for developing these skills and putting them into action.

Follow up coaching is also available.

Helping build focus and reduce distraction so that busy people can get things done even when there's no time to do them.

MANAGING ATTENTION, FOCUS AND ENERGY

Background

Since 1991, the amount of information we must deal with on a daily basis has doubled. Our instinctive reaction is to try to do more, work longer hours and multitask. Yet science is showing that these strategies are counterproductive, damaging both performance and mental health.

In the 21st century, effective time management is about managing attention and energy. This course identifies evidence-based strategies for focusing effectively in a world which is constantly trying to distract.

Session Outline

This groundbreaking course represents the next generation of time management. Participants will learn how to increase their focus and get more done, even when everyone seems to be juggling priorities, cutting corners and multitasking.

Outcomes include:

  • Greater clarity of goals and objectives
  • Heightened ability to focus on tasks even under pressure
  • Learn cognitive behavioural techniques for handling stress
  • Prevention of stress-related performance and health issues

This is a 90 minute workshop designed for up to 20 participants. It is highly participative and is full of practical exercises to help participants change behaviour, increase effectiveness... and take control over time.
