Rob is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with 16 years' experience across public and private sectors. As a former management consultant Rob specialised in large-scale organisational development and change projects, including a project which won the MCA Award for Best Strategy and Business Transformation.
After graduating with distinction from the University of London, Rob now works as an Occupational Psychologist specialising in leadership development and assessment, coaching, organisation development and resilience training. His experience spans professional services, financial services, professional sports teams, central and local government, oil, gas, construction and FMCG. Rob also works with clients in an individual (coaching) capacity, in particular helping people to improve workplace performance, cope with stress or make better career decisions.
With a particular interest in mindfulness-based cognitive therapies, he is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society as well as a member of the Division of Occupational Psychologists and Coaching Psychologists.
Rob specialises in the area of employee engagement and meaning in work, change management, culture and behaviour change, work stress, resilience and career decision making. His particular expertise is in using mindfulness-based Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) in organisational and coaching settings. ACT is an evidence-based 'third wave' cognitive behavioural therapy which uses mindfulness to help people improve performance whilst handling difficult thoughts and emotions more effectively.
Rob played cricket for England Schoolboys and British Universities. He was also a county level player at hockey and football. Today he is a very slow runner who has completed 3 London marathons. Rob's CV also includes 4 weeks spent in a field teaching a dog to dance, in Channel 4's Faking It.
